Choice Blog #3Music, it's powerful, it makes you laugh, makes you cry, and in some cases, makes you sit back and think. Music is something that is a huge part of my life, I listen to music all of the time. I don't even exaggerate when i say it's all the time. As soon as i wake up i turn on music and get in the shower, after i'm out, put my headphones on and get straight back to business. After school, sometimes even during school, i listen to music. It gets you pumped, it can make you sad, it's very powerful! Here's where my argument comes into play, see, people say rap isn't real music. That is bull! The people who say that, don't listen, they hear it! They don't listen! Rap is an art, hence the name rap artist, they have a certain flow that just keeps you wanting more. Music in general is so powerful, it's not only rap, i love music in general! I love county music as well! Also the today's pop hits, rock and roll, anything! i really just love stuff with a good beat and a good rhythm. Pandora is my go-to music source, Pandora is probably my most used app next to probably Instagram! I could only imagine what it would be like to produce music one day! Sitting in my own studio, living the dream, doing what I love, listening to music! All day, everyday, it's all about the sound of music!

The article of the week this week is about how most some people can't afford internet and it's effecting the schooling because everything is run off of technology now. This is sad because it's not the child's fault that they can't afford internet, therefor making there schooling harder for them. This is turning into a civil rights thing because it seems to be most people that are Mexican that this is effecting! It's sad to think that our lives have turned into such a cyber world that those who can't keep up, just seem to fall out. Now that Stockbridge is a 1 to 1 school, we have the privilege of getting Chromebooks, which makes the use of technology better for ALL students. Our school gave each and every student a Chromebooks so that nobody is left out. Nobody can fall behind! Hopefully more schools will join us in the 1 to 1 program and start picking people up instead of leaving them behind because the "can't afford it." That is such a lame excuse, nobody should be left behind because they can't afford something. Times are tough! We need to start helping one another out! Get it together! lets do this together, nobody left behind!
In this weeks article of the week, we read about mass shootings. Mass shootings seem to be a big problem and its just getting worse. But I found a flaw in this. It seemed to me, and a bunch of other kids in our class, that this article, was just trying to say that we need better gun control. This, is something that is pointless and we shouldn't even have to talk about. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Gun control is just for people who are scared of what MIGHT happen. Our 2nd amendment should be protected, the bill of rights says that we have the right to bare arms, and if they take that away from us because our government is scared, then maybe they should just not sell guns to the mentally unstable and those with a big criminal record! That is the real problem, careless people selling weapons to those who mentally unstable and those who physically and mentally should not use guns. We can't be scared of what would happen like mass shootings, we can only be prepared for when and if it happens. Don't live in the past, and don't live in the future, because then you'll worry. Just live for now and you'll be alright. the government needs to stop being scared of mass shootings and just prepare better!
Book Blog #2Now that I am a little farther now into my book Th1rteen R3asons Why by Jay Asher, i have realized something. Something that you could have said, whether it was 1 week ago, or 1 decade ago, it has an effect on people, or the person who you said it to. In my book Clay, wishing that Hannah was still alive, listens to more of her tapes about why she committed suicide. He listened to her tell him about a peeping tom, being used, teased, rumors, all of the stuff that happens all the time! Minus the peeping tom stuff... do people even still do that?! all of this stuff that happens in the book, is things that happens on a day to day basis, and we just over look it, because we don't think it will have as big of consequences as they do in reality. This stuff is scary. It's scary to think that teasing, hazing, and that kind of stuff could drive somebody to suicide. It's something that makes you want to think twice about what you say, and who you say it to. Nobody deserves to be put down and bullied to the point of suicide. teased so much that you choose to end your own life. You have to REALLY hurt somebody to drive them to suicide. Words are powerful... Choose yours wisely.
Choice Blog #2Passion- noun; Strong, and barely contollable emotion. This to me, describes football. To many, its a game, to me, its a lifestyle. Now i know what your thinking, cheesy right? well it's true. The feeling you get when you put those pads on, tie up your cleats, slip on that jersey. The butterflies, the intensity, the passion for the game is like non other. Being surrounded by your brothers, i never had a brother, so this is as close as it gets. We bleed together, sweat together, cry together, the passion.. it's there. Its hard to spot passion in most players, until you see them in action. Once you seem them in full swing, full out, go hard, don't stop until you die action, that, is when you will realize that the passion is there. Some people say stuff like, "i love football, its my favorite sport!" well passion is different than love. Love is the new TV series, love is your morning coffee, or a new pair of shoes. Love doesn't come close to passion. Passion is willing to die, willing to sacrifice your body for the extra yard. Pushing through the pain, holding your teammates hands as you walk out onto the battle field that is the football field. Then hugging him hard as you both cry after losing the game. Passion is different that love, its hard to explain, but when you see it, once you experience it, you'll know, and you'll never forget the feeling. pc: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/4273744/highlights/170672490/v2 Book Blog #1Suicide. A terrible, painful, sad, sad thing. depression, bullying, tormenting, hazing, all of these things contribute to the dark, deep depths of suicide. in my book Th1rteen R3asons Why by Jay Asher, Hannah Baker does the unthinkable, she commits suicide. As of now i am on the first chapter of this book, i'm not that far into it, but i was hooked right off the bat. She was tormented, teased, called a slut, but she wasn't. She was made fun of so much that she did the unthinkable, she ended her own life. I can't relate to the part of suicide, but i can only imagine what she was thinking right before she ended her life. The world is a war zone, the guns being the people, and the ammunition being their "jokes," their hazing, their tormenting. Well here's a newsflash, its not "cool" to bully anymore. if we end this war we end suicide. We end innocent people ending their life, and we end bullying. In this book, Hannah called out the people who drove her to suicide, she told them that they were wrong, and i can only hope that, by her telling them this, it drove them insane and they feel terrible about what they have made her do. This is a serious problem, bullying happens everywhere, but we need to end this war between the tormentors, and the tormented.

I have a beautiful girlfriend named Gracie Cavender and she comes to all my games and is my #1 fan and supporter. She's also my best friend! In football i play quarterback and also corner back, in basketball i play shooting guard and i have good defense, i got the award for hardest worker this basketball season.
